@WeezyDrakeYoungMoney Wayne is HOT. And he's great in the sense that he's a force to be reckoned with now. But he's nowhere near ANY of the actual greats (Biggie, Pac, Big L, Big Pun, Jay, Em, Nas, Rakim, KRS, etc.). People who will always be remembered and revered. Wayne will never be that. @onigojira Thank you! At least someone else picked on that theme in the Gundam franchise. Actually, I rather surprised I thought I would get something completely different in reponse. Because if you watch 'Winds of Jaburo' Char breifly laments on the environmental damage caused by the nuclear devices used to blow Jaburo. I do have in my Gundam collection both the series and movies of Zeta Gundam and Char's Counterattack; which I throughly enjoyed.

This is a hell of a tune to tackle for anyone. Check out the original version of this track. Phish have done a great service to it here actually. There is no stage presence like that of Peter Gabriel in the early 70's, but we can't ever go back, you know ;)

A fan of Genesis since '73, now in his 50s. Phish did a reverent version of the first song I ever heard by Genesis, my favorite band of all-time. Great props from me to Phish, they did a terrific job on one of the Genesis classics. I wrongly thought that the only American band that could do a worthy tribute to Genesis on their RARHOF induction was Dream Theater, but Phish was absolutely superb. There are many things likeable about Phish. Trey's voice is not one of them, and vocals being the harmonic center of a band, is why I could never dig them. This is a great cover by a very suitable band, with awful, fucking vocals. If Phish has ever collaborated with another singer, I would be interested.

Also anything from In the Court of the Crimson King, I talk to the wind being the best example. Remember boys and girls that the whole music industry had been taking giant technical steps forward at this point, studio and stage. Genesis would not have been able to present us with this now legendary opening were it not for advances in analogue technology. I saw them twice doing this tour. Floyd and Yes also had memorable openings during this era.

Nah that was probably the new drummer. These guys were from Las Vegas and played shows a lot in St George, Utah. And the original band members were awesome. Then the lineup changed and the styles from the new members weren't what Kyle wanted so he left. And yes, there were previously known as Brown Eyed Deception. I still have their demo songs :D

Droo121213, considering bands like Yes and Genesis were using 40 year old technology to record their music (let`s not forget the advances made in instrument technology too), I`m not surprised you think songs like the one here can`t stand up to bands like Tool. I`m sure if Tool were the ones making music nearly 40 years ago and Genesis were the ones influenced by them, I would say exactly the same thing. The advances Genesis made are unarguably greater than anything Tool have achieved.

I have the green box set of the 1970-1975 Genesis era. On the 6th DVD disc, the Midnight Special was on it. It was recorded on December 20, 1973. The songs songs that were performed were "Watcher Of The Skies" and "The Musical Box".

I witnessed a Genesis (PG) concert during this peroid from as close as this camera. Actually sitting on the stage of the Capitol Theater in Passaic with a friend. Just walked in and did it !This was serious art and theater not to mention music.Peter Gabriel has peaked in every phase of his career.But this one was a trip.Thank God for video.

this is a little cheesy maybe its just the terrible special effects of the time. the new ending they gave was much better- uncomplicated & without unnecessary special effects. it doesnt seem to fit with the rest of the film. i liked that the watchers body in the other ending was this lighty thing... a bad alien from the old days of star trek or dr who was a bit OTT!

Man o' man, as if the original wasn't crazy enough! This one scared the shit out of me as a kid. Today, I think it's actually a really well made ghost story, and would have been great if I had been just a little older. Well, Disney made this during a period where they really didn't know who they were anymore. They were behind the times and increasingly irrelevant, so in the late 70s they started branching out into sci-fi and horror to keep current. It's great that that they tried, but they were too chicken to really do it right. This movie could have been GREAT if it had gone further. After their transformation in the late 1980s into a corporate giant, these kinds of experiments were dropped like a hot potato.

The experiment with the phones is a bit off: the girl tells passersby "why" she needs to use the phone. By contrast, the man just asks to use the phone. Researcg suggests that people are more likely to do you a favor is you explain why.

you should have took more time to read what i said. 1 - that particular experiment WAS EXTREMELY flawed. (it's pretty unbelievable that THEY would consider that a fair experiment) 2 - the experiment on the other show with the female queue jumper being allowed to do so was fairer AND an accurate representation of the way the sexes are treated differently. 3 - if you can't see the female advantages in daily life for yourself you're not capable of observing accurately. watch?v=sGf-PwJrzXo

The whole point of an experiment is to PROVE something true by removing or controlling as many variables as possible. If you do not do it this way, the data is tainted and it cannot be considered a true experiment. REGARDLESS of what the result will be or if the controlled and uncontrolled version turn out the same it is still ignorant to trust an experiment that has been executed incorrectly. If you do not get the expected result the first time you do it SEVERAL TIMES and study the differences.

you're right about them both acting differently, so differently infact it's like 2 seperate experiments. BUT had they been acting similarly the result would still have been that the woman receives more offers of help. and if that hadn't happened it would have been completely against what normally happens. they did another experiment with queue jumping which was better than this one. the woman got away with it far more. women are treated differently unfortunately as it's lead to womens huge egos
