@seeingsound But what I am saying is that Marketers are a symptom of the disease, like sneezing and chills are a symptom of the flu, but not the entire disease. Capitalism is the disease. They are not entirely responsible for the problem, but they are part of it. Monetary goods are far better valued than human life. Yet we define ourselves by our possessions, wrongly I might add. What does it say about us as a society when we see property damage during a disaster, yet forget the people?

He's taking aim at Marketer's, yet he seems to be missing the fact that Capitalism is inherent in society, and not just the Marketer's problem. Capitalism states that everything is a product, and therefore of a financial value, rather than a moral or benefit to the world. Society is programmed that way, to see everything in a material fashion. They ignore the individual, yet view society as a whole. Yet each individual is different.

You are right thought. I do want to make lots of money, not just for myself though. I want to become self sustainable so I can use my riches for good. That is why i plan on saving and building my own earthship, this way i don't have to worry about paying rent/mortgages/bills and spend my money on helping humanity. Plus the world runs on money, you need to do pretty much everything, especially for traveling which is a requirement to help the rest of the world.

To be honest I try not concentrate on helping people in distant lands instead I do my best to help the homeless and impoverished here at home, in my country. We're not that different from 3rd world countries as some may believe. How can you fix other's problems if you haven't fixed home yet? It's difficult to do good with your own money when you have to make a living for yourself on a low income, i"m not wealthy by any means. This is actually a socialized pc in a library.

I'd like to add that you only focus on the negative aspects. I think our lifespan and safety and QoL have been drastically increased in part due to the huge system we all contribute to. For better or for worse. Even your so called self reliant communes all make use of balanced diets supplied by it, materials and even things like education. So even they are not cut loose from society. Yes we shouldnt let our past get hold of us, but the past is such a very very wise mentor on things to come.

Change never comes easy because the past is always trying to control the future. Right now the system we have in place are failing and stifling our evolution. Patents prevent new and better forms of production and healing, while funding for defense/war avoid addressing the real problems of humanity. These systems must evolve are die to fit the next generations to come or we will destroy ourselves if we continue this path. It may not happen in our lifetime, but i believe it'll happen.

Heh, I must confess in all shame that I know that quote from playing civilisation 4. I know the concept of those self sustainable communes. I like the idea, usually comes with ideals rooted in hippy lifestyle, though nowadays more often in anarchists. Although I like the idea that those people are less reliant to consumerism and nations, I doubt it has any real merit in the end. If that system is so good, why wasn't it implemented years ago? This will never work as long as people conquer/war.

Companies can sell products based on honesty. Marketers make up whatever they possibly can to get people to make a purchase. Marketers have one of the worst jobs anyone can obtain in business. Just imagine the typical cheap-suit wearing guy with a supercuts haircut presenting his advertising ideas to a board of directors in hopes of raising profits. How else do you propose companies sell a product? Hope people stumble into it? It's a good thing you are not a marketer, you wouldn't last very long. But I have to agree that this guys camera zooming sucks, plus, he seems to be a self loathing marketer. He has bought into the propaganda of the left that capitalism is "evil". just one major question, i would like answered, to be an affialiate marketer. Do you need to make an website advertising that particular product? so you need a review page and everything on that particular product you're marketing? or can you affiliate market people's product on any website? like even if the website is about, lets say yours site is about "video games" and you get a "ringtone" affialiate program, can you still advertise the ringtone program then?

That may be it. I've read rick dad poor dad A LONG TIME AGO and I liked it too. 1. I don't remember any important principle being taught. 2. It inspires too much the reader to start his own business without giving ANY advice on how to do it. There is any "how to" information in the book. It tells you the topics you have to learn and tells you that schools don't teach those things. However, all administration courses covers those topics. It's quite a contracditory book.
