It's a shame this isn't airing in Britain. As a fan of his earlier work, this show surpasses his earlier works (though High Spirits+My New Best? Friend are absolutely brilliant) and I can't wait to see where this series goes. I bet it won't do well in America though. It's already quite difficult to out much about it. Still no revelation. Conclusion: Austrailia is a wonderful place, Icehouse is a fantastic band, but revelation lies within. As for WW2. According to ANY good book about WW2 the German army had 80 percent of their casualties on the Eastern Front. On D-day there were 4 times as many German divisions tied up in the Soviet Union than that pitiful bunch you met in France. The German Army wasn't defeated in France like you seem to think. World War One? Sorry, Germany's last offensive was in the spring of 1918, and was mostly stopped by Australian and French troops. In fact it was the last desperate effore to end the war BEFORE there was enough American troops in France. You merely tipped the scales, by 1917 Germany was already facing starvation due to the blockade and there was no way they could have won the war even without you entering it.
