Great way to explain such a process, but i would like to understand why is it that complex? Why doesn't Google figure out an easy way for us to do this? The majority of people advertising at Google do not get into this much details. They just want their Ad's delivered at a price within their budget ranges. They do not need rocket scientists to do this process for each product they have! Suppose i have an eshop with hundreds of products. I won't be able to repeat this process for everything!

I read your other comment, and you clearly understand the video less and less the more you watch it. None of the statements are contradictory. You rarely pay the full maximum CPC bid for a click, which is why when you bid $5 you would at worst break even, but probably turn a profit. This is not contradictory to saying that if you paid your full CPC max bid of $5 you would be breaking even.

Hi, I tried quibids, but there were so many people bidding that I lost, then I went to bidsWOW.com same thing, but it's newer and 3 people win at each auction, so I ended up winning the 3D HDTV and my auction was $69.87 plus the $24.99 shipping. Of course I purchased the $180 bid pack and used about half of it, so overall I think I paid about $160 or so for a $1699 3D HDTV and I had to wait about 15 days before it arrived, but its brand new and came through Amazon.com I was amazed.

This is a great video - especially for those who are just getting started with Google AdWords. It's true, AdWords is a bit more complicated than MASN AdCenter or Yahoo Search Marketing, but I also have to say that I get - by far - the best results with AdWords.

Using adwords to direct people to an affiliate website is Google Cash (I own it). The problem with the Google Cash method (or any affiliate marketing) is that you can be at the mercy of the conversion rate of the sales letter on the companies website. Also Google is in the process of slapping affiliates on Adwords (it's a big topic again) because you aren't the authority - you are sending traffic to the authority. Google likes to deal with authorities only.

My system seems to work very well. I don't spend time focusing on SEO much anymore. Because my site is old the SE's love it so traffic is steady. I now literally make money while I sleep but it did take a while to build it to this point. Wasn't easy at all. And I did spend a lot of time building content. It was so worth it though. Agree. That's what happened to a friend. She clicked her ads so much in the first two days, it got her CTR up to 50%. Most legitimate campaigns would never have a CTR that high but many people don't realize that. She was banned immediately.

It's not worth click our own ads and risk getting banned. I think what Google tracks is the Clickthrough Rate - the percentage of clicks vs page impressions. If it appears abnormal, they'll shut you down. That's why new accounts get banned more easily, as their impressions are still low, it doesn't take too many clicks to make the CTR look abnormal.

I'm an advertiser on Google too. A few years ago, I had my budget equally divided between Google and Yahoo and my the "cost per conversion" was similar. Now, with the monopoly of Google, my advertisement expenses increased 1000%! I'm sorry, but a monopoly is NEVER a good thing :-(

@panchitoturbo In my opinion, it actually benefits the small advertiser that google is a monopoly of sorts. If i know that all my prospective customers are going to be in one place (on google), it becomes easier for me to plan my advertising budget. If my audience is spread across multiple channels, I would have to break my small budget into smaller pieces just to be present on these multiple channels. That would only make my advertising less efficient and more expensive.
