It's a theme in storytelling that pre-dates the Christian bible. It's the story of Cain and Abel, and before that it was a middle-Eastern tale. The bothers are usually metaphorical--one simply represents good, the other represents evil, and the characters in the story generally represent life being pulled between the two. The movie "Legend" is a great example of that, also.

You seen those? but you gotta admit Wizards is similar to Fist of the North Star. Same graphically violent Sci-fi fantasy epic about two brothers in post-apocalyptic worlds as one of them wants to conquer it and one of them wants to heal even in a world of mutants and violence. Even the battle sequences are similar.

You can't really compare the two. It's like comparing heavy metal music like Sepultura with "chart topping" rock bands like Seether--it's not really the same category. That's why anime has its own section at video stores and stuff. The fantasy aspect of the two genres gives them a similar base to start from, but it goes in totally different directions from there on.

Ehh, I thought the movie was okay, though the beginning was the best part. Some of Ralhps designs are cools, but almost half the time, there sloppy as well. Not to mention the rotoscope technique he made, every time he uses it, I just want to pop the DVD or VCR out, cause I HATE the way he uses it. Heavy metal has done a better job of using the technique.

I listen to the Alex Jones show regularly and have much respect for him but this guy was obviously handpicked by Alex for the very reasons Alex gives at the start about the Freeman-on-the-land processes landing you in jail. When I typed the URL that Alex announced on this clip a trojan warning popped up and it did not reload the page. This alone is dodgy as fuck aside from his guest being a bit suss.

Well thats part of it. The people still make the laws and decide the punishment as long as the person being accused did something to somebody else. If the law says that man should get life in prison then that is what he gets. The point is, if that guy was a judge or a cop, they would get the same thing that a normal person would. There is no special treatment under the ideal rule of law. It doesn't define the actual punishments. It does not do away with human emotions, just establishes standards

The rule of law basically means that the law is what rules, not people. This means that those that make, judge, and enforce the law are bound to it as much as everyone else. The rule of law is synonymous with equality before the law. Nobody is above the law. This has implications to majority/minority fights. The rule of law should protect the minority from the vote of the majority to first protect equality before the law. It's a big topic..

@Snobert You can find a way to make things better even in those places, how do Bedouin or Nomad ppl manage to live in the desert where nothing can grow up? Because they help each other, they try to find a way, they are willing to and maybe there're also circumstances that help. In many countries in Africa for ex, governments do nothing for their own ppl who barely survive thanks to humanitarian relief. God doesn't "punish" ppl, they don't need God for that, they do it to each other.
